True Heroes and Survivors

What an incredible summer!  Let me tell a short tale about two friends, Pam and Bruce Miller, owners of PBM Construction.  Last year Bruce contacted me and asked me to help distract his lovely wife Pam for the day so that he could prepare for a BBQ and birthday celebration.  I did my best to be sneaky and what better way then to ask Pam to help cater an event with me - yes I made the girl work very hard on her special day!! And what a day when she found out what was up.....she was "madder than a wet hen", as my momma would say, and that gorgeous blond was more colorful with her vocabulary then Paula Deen when one of her recipes flops!  Well, not to be outdone, Ms. Pamela Miller delayed her husbands 50th party several months to let him think she didn't care, and then planned the event around friends from Texas' visit in August, he didn't know what hit him.  One important detail for you to know about the Miller's is that Bruce is a cancer survivor, which makes Pam one also.  Being able to celebrate this special event means so much more when you have walked through a tough battle.  The guest list was made up of childhood friends, friends from the business world and their cancer support group survivors who shared in the victory of another birthday.  I am proud to be able to share these images and I would encourage everyone to embrace life with a flurry of celebrations, like my friends the Millers.  Life is too short to not have fun!View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo View this photo
